Job Responsibilities:

• Develop cooling system for electric machine test housing for dyno tests.
• Build thermal models for electric motors based on operating conditions and cooling method
• Build, test and evaluate electric machine prototypes
• Responsible for cooling design of electric machines for Hybrid Electric Vehicle or Battery Electric Vehicle applications
• Perform thermal analysis and design optimization
• Work with transmission design team to define cooling method and cooling demand for electric machines.
• Work with CAD designers to develop prints for all mechanical parts
• Work with electrical design engineer to finalize electro-magnetic design

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Self-motivated with the ability to lead multiple tasks
• Master of Science or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Powertrain D&R experience with mechanical design background.
• 5+ years of experience with FEA package for thermal analysis.
• 5+ years of proven experience in electric motor cooling design and thermal analysis.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up and statistics.
