    Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead design and development on power semiconductor devices with special attention to wide bandgap devices, and identify technology trends, challenges, opportunities and business case for automotive markets
    • Evaluate competitors and suppliers on the above fields
    • Support power electronics integration into eDrive systems
    • Provide technical support for power semiconductor device technology adoption in vehicle production
    • Effectively communicate results to Sr. management.
    • Support the development of next-generation traction inverter systems for electrified vehicles

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Knowledge in advanced silicon IGBT technologies and wide bandgap devices (SiC and GaN)
    • Gate drive and microprocessor-based control circuits
    • Proficiency in simulation tools (TCAD) to develop power semiconductor devices and simulate static and switching characteristics
    • Hands-on experience with comprehensive characterization of on-wafer and packaged power semiconductor devices
    • Model, simulate, design, implement, and debug power conversion systems
    • Power conversion, system design, power semiconductor module packaging, and interface specifications (electric, mechanical, thermal)
    • Experience with power semiconductor device benchmarking, failure analysis, and reverse engineering analysis (SIMS, FIB, SEM, EDS)
    • Experience with device qualification and reliability testing
    • Knowledge in modeling, design, fabrication process, and testing of power semiconductor devices
